One Tower Bridge overlooks some of the world’s most famous landmarks, including the iconic Tower Bridge and Tower of London. As the former Pool of London it is an area steeped in trade and business. Today, the spice-laden clippers have been replaced with the law and accountancy houses in More London but the buzz remains around the park and the converted warehouses and restaurants of Butlers Wharf. At Berkeley we love placemaking. And One Tower Bridge has offered us a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make something very special indeed. Cue the creation of London’s largest new theatre in 40 years, and the largest commercial theatre of scale outside the West End. At over 900 seats, this is an important venue for London and will deliver 3 brand new works every year. In Nick Hytner and Nick Starr, One Tower Bridge has two world-class theatre producers to ensure the Bridge Theatre delivers performance after performance.
With the restaurant spaces, we wanted to curate an exciting mix of international cuisines around our pedestrian streets and piazzas, with a focus on new and up-and-coming restaurants rather than established, national operators. This approach creates real identity which is fundamental to successful placemaking. This guide sets out the current brands that are due to open soon; we have many more in the pipeline. Whether it’s to live, catch a show or enjoy fine dining, One Tower Bridge is the ultimate place to be.
